Shanghai, China
After a rainy Beijing experience, we flew over 600 miles to Shanghai, China. I didn’t know what to expect but was excited nonetheless. Shanghai was very different from Beijing. I call it Modern China, with all the tall buildings, westernized waterfront and all the shopping on Nanjing Road. We had a tour guide to ourselves, which made it more personal. We went on a cruise along the Bund River, climbed up the Pearl Tower and did a lot of (window) shopping on Nanjing Rd. Shanghai was a good stop after Beijing, very different yet still lovely.
