Napa Valley, California
My first time in Napa Valley was in 2010 when my friend took me 2 weeks after moving to the Bay Area. I didn’t know anything about wine at all but I was more than happy be in an hour drive north to California’s wine country. This town is so charming, seeing one vineyard after another. The best part of my experience: being in a 13th Century Tuscan-styled castle in California. It may not be a real European castle but it was made as authentic as possible, shipping over thousand tons of stones and bricks from Europe.
Thoughts and prayers go out to all my Bay Area friends and to those who have been injured and affected by the quake.

I visited Castello last year and it was just as beautiful as your pictures show. I am with you, thoughts and prayers to all in the Bay area.
Thanks Kaelene!
I never would have guessed that this was California! Beautiful castle!
It is beautiful!
I love the idea of shipping everything over and making their own castle, nice way to get the authentic feel. I’m not a big wine fan, but I do like the idea of a vineyard, also I’m a big fan of grapes!
Yes, the earthquake! I haven’t read any more about it, but I hope the people are doing well.
Not a big wine enthusiast myself but seeing one beautiful vineyard after another is so breathtaking!
