Nice, France
After flying from Paris, the first thing that our cab driver asked us when we said that we’re from California is that why Nice? Well, why not? He said that he’s been to Los Angeles and San Diego and thought that those places are similar to each other. I know that there was something different, there’s a reason why Hollywood stars travel all the way across the globe to get to this location. So we walked down Avenue Jean Médecin, to Cours Saleya to Vieux Nice, climbed up the Colline du Chateau and saw my answer. Nice exudes old glamour and it’s Mediterranean water is the clearest blue I’ve ever seen.
Nice was our base in the French Riviera, stayed here for 4 nights. It is pretty central if you plan on going to Cannes, Monaco and neighboring towns. The train system is much easier to figure out than Paris Metro, and in a matter of minutes, you may find yourself at the Italian Border. Forget renting a car if your hotel doesn’t provide parking. Our schedule was so busy and there’s still a lot of Nice that we haven’t seen. And as I look back at these photos, there’s something that’s calling me back.

We spent some time in Nice we were interrailing, I think one day as we were heading to Rome. We didn’t see too much of the town as we were so tired from the start of out travelling trip. We decided Nice was a good place to stop, breath and take everything in so we spent a good few hours relaxing on the beach and dipping our toes in the water.
I love the water but the beach was a little too pebbly to me. I wished I have stayed longer, and ventured out more.
