Mykonos
Mykonos, Greece
After a long ferry ride from the Rafina port, we finally reached our first island destination: Mykonos. As one of the most popular stops in the Aegean sea, this island is a tourist mecca. High-end shopping along mazes of white washed tiny streets or partying until sunrise in one of the best clubs in the world can be ideal to some. But even without these, Mykonos will still have that beautiful sunset over those white cyclandic houses. It will still have those postcard-ready beaches for everyone to enjoy. It will still have Petros, the island’s mascot, wandering around town being photographed by tourists. It will still have those windmills, built in the 16th century, which helped locals mill wheat in the past. Luxurious or not, Mykonos will still be beautiful.
